ana and the hidden snake

The aztec legend tells the profecy of a god that would arrive to the aztec empire to bring properity to the land, this god would be the fetheared snake god, quezalcoatl, by his Nahua followers. In the Maya area he was known as Kukulcan or Ququmatz, names that also translate as "feathered serpent" in different Mayan languages.

in the need of varos....

Somedays I just need her colors to make my own ones...

murakami number 10th

I have finished sputniksweethear, another beautiful trip into murakamis poetic words, his unendless worlds, the cats, the women, the shadows coming to life, all the mytical murakami's simbols, to me is going back home to a world where my deeper feelings are shared, I always feel exposed a little when I read his books, I can see myself in a mirror, which is sometimes not easy, I feel so conected to his feelings, I imagine which parts of his books are parts of his and which one he has just imagine, but is not possible to make a dicernt between those worlds, he is a poet of the surealism that is so real for some of us,
Sputniksweethear take it with you if you plan to go to some relaxing summer holiday, it will bring you to a different state of mind closer to your innerself, it a cold yet familiar place where everything can happen, read it next to the beach while listening to the sound of the waves, it is simply beautiful and relaxing, dont miss it!

letting the clockwork orange go....

Times are changing fast here in the clockwork orange, things are moving fast, one day you are here another your are gone, but time is relative as well as perception, in the clockworking orange everything is precised but some of us are not mathematical equations but a blur of luck walking among others,
I will come back here sometimes to the cold steal morning and the individuality, to the artificial beauty of this machine...

The perfect world

When I was 15 I came across the book from Aldous Huxley "The brave new world", first I thought I would get bored with his old writting style, at least the version I had in my hands was quite old from my grandpa, I read it and it caused a great impact at the time and this feeling was dissolving along time, as I grow older I can not but to compare some characters in Huxley´s novel including myself, I so often feel like the savage brought to the brave world and expose to certain refinements in this new upgraded society, with a blue pill to relieve any kind of negative feeling, music made from machines and not instruments, luckely we still have the family concept in this world of ours, perhaps a very old yet human structure that is the key to happiness according to forbes survey for the 10 countries were you can achieve more money, at the end they closed the article saying that money does not equal happiness and that on the contrary the countries were people consider themself happier are the ones were the family plays a central role in individuals,
perhaps Huxley was right and the scence of our humanity lies in the simplest of things that we take for granted and that in this fast world seems so archaic and decadent

While walking in the forrest

This morning while walking down the forrest to come to work, some ideas finally set up its place in my brain,
I was thinking about several conversations with my best friend which refered to social structure,
I was a naive firm believer that a person can achieve a place in society trought their own effort and inteligence, instead of their social status or class, there was a time when I could not see such a concept as an active concept in todays society where the middle class is so extended, however my friend always argued with me about this and insisted that in human societa the existance of such a concept is a pilar for its organization and healthy development, that is is something we would never get rid off,
But is this true? can we get rid of concepts in society like class, or even more would it be possible one day to get rid of the concept of country, is it really healthy for society to perpetuate those concepts, or is it only useful to perpetuate differences?
It seems to me that since very early and in all types of human cultures differences have always existed for what we know the most ancient cultures were based in feudalism or explotation of the lower masses to the porpuse of support the reigning class at every particular culture,
those kind of differences are there even in the religous contest, which I dont even want to comment on, but it seems to me that the human society needs stratification in order to achieve certain development in other goods not only material but philosophycal as well,
of course that being a biologist I wonder about people with limitations to understand such a system, the outsiders sort of speaking, could it be that all these need for herarchyes is something that is either inhereted or is it learned after words or is it a complex kind of process that combines both possibilities?
are those individuals (maybe even several philosophers)- just a residual part of other posibility in human populations? have we been self selecting individuals who posses the hability to fit this kind of classist systems since the dawn of times and we could be missing the chance to live free of such a concepts?
I for once dont think that this kind of human structure is only inherent to human populations, since many other groups in nature are structure as well, in that case is not possible to say that is a kind of property learned after birth but is inherent to the animal populations through complex biochemical processes,
so maybe this structuration and class system is inherent to the animal kingdom, however I again wonder why is then, if we are suppose to have evolved beyonce most of the groups in the animal kingdom, that we keep selecting the same characteristics? will we ever learn to live without them? and if so, what implications in the biological and social point of view would it bring to us?
but as I said this is what I was thinking about when I was walking in the forrest.....
